Producer responsibility is arriving
California’s Responsible Textile Recovery Act of 2024 requires qualifying apparel producers to join a state-approved Producer Responsibility Organization, fund collection and recycling, and meet waste reduction targets by 2030. Take-back programs are the mechanism behind that obligation.
